Episode Born This Way

Somewhere Only We Know is Blaine Anderson's farewell song to Kurt Hummel after Kurt transfers back to William McKinley High School from Dalton Academy in the episode Born This Way. The Warblers join Blaine with background vocals and huge Kurt, a way of saying goodbye. The song takes place on McKinley's campus on the quad where a few McKinley kids even contribute with bass and background music. New Directions are present, too, and take Kurt into a warm embrace after the Warblers are finished.

Near the end of the song Blaine becomes very emotional and gives Kurt a long, thought-felt hug. He is clearly upset by Kurt's desire to move back to McKinley but makes sure to tell Kurt that he's happy about his decision regardless.

[edit] Lyrics

Blaine:
I walked across an empty land
I knew the pathway like the back of my hand
I felt the earth beneath my feet
Sat by the river and it made me complete

Oh simple thing where have you gone
I'm getting old and I need something to rely on
So tell me when you're gonna let me in
I'm getting tired and I need somewhere to begin

I came across a fallen tree.
I felt the branches of it looking at me
Is this the place we used to love
Is this the place that I've been dreaming of
Oh simple thing where have you gone
I'm getting old and I need something to rely on
So tell me when you're gonna let me in
I'm getting tired and I need somewhere to begin

And if you have a minute why don't we go
Talk about it somewhere only we know?
This could be the end of everything

So why don't we go
Somewhere only we know?
Somewhere only we know?
And if you have a minute why don't we go

Talk about it somewhere only we know?
This could be the end of everything
So why don't we go
So why don't we go
And if you have a minute why don't we go
Talk about it somewhere only we know?
This could be the end of everything
So why don't we go

Somewhere only we know?
Somewhere only we know?
